This is a cable that is truly at the top of the tree, yet it doesnít come with the severe price tag that most demand. If you want superb sound without ridiculous cost, this is it.
Advanced. Not Absurd.
Unlike many super high end cables where promises of black magic are typically abundant, there is no witchcraft in this cable. But we do promise that the technology used here are the most advanced known and are scientifically proven.
This cable features a solid copper core which has been drawn using Single Crystal Copper (SCC) technology. Typical copper cable has many crystals per meter. SCC is slowly drawn from 99.99% pure copper through continuous casting techniques, resulting in a copper strand with typically only one crystal in its entire length. This means that the electronic properties across this strand is as equal as possible, minimising timing differences.
The centre core is also frequency optimised. At approximately 22 AWG, the best response for both low and high frequency is achieved. A single core is used to minimise timing differences and reduce internal capacitance.
The cable is double shielded, first in a thick layer of aluminium foil, then with a mesh of silver plated copper. Why silver? Because itís the best conductor known to man, both in pure conductance forms as well as for bandwidth - that is, increasing both low and high frequency performance. This translates to more extension at both ends of the sonic range.
Many "high end" cable manufacturers have tried to initiate myths about silver "harshness" and "brightness". Generally, this is in order to reduce their costs by not using a very expensive material. Thereís a big difference between harshness and a more extended top end. Cable salespersons will typically try to make consumers believe that they are the same thing.
Silver is used in a vast majority of expensive ($1M+) industry test equipment. Why? Because their conducting qualities are so good. It is the best at being absolutely open and neutral, sometimes at the risk of exposing flaws in the equipment, rather than the cable.
Twin EM suppressors at both ends reduce EM inteference.
These cables are mould terminated using silver solder, and sealed under high pressure. This ensures high integrity of the joint. The RCA plugs are reference grade locking plugs, with full triple plated 24k gold contacts and a chrome nickel full locking sleeve.
